About Dr. Yost
Active Release Techniques provider, Dr. Rick Yost states: “Our success is based on identifying the pain generator and selecting the appropriate treatment method(s) to get a patient well.”
Dr. Yost is the clinic director at Norwood Chiropractic & Sports Injury Center. He graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic in 2006. He is a board-certified chiropractor with additional certifications in Active Release Techniques (ART), Active Rehabilitation, Motion Palpation Motion Palpation Institute and Graston Technique. Dr. Yost has tested into the Elite Provider Network for Active Release Techniques, which makes up a small percentage of the most qualified Active Release Techniques practitioners in the world.
Our focus is helping patients get back to their lives quickly and safely. For each patient we strive to accomplish 3 main things:
- Identify the pain generator (what tissue or tissues are causing pain)
- Help the patient understand how they can unload the affected tissue to speed healing and reduce
future risk - Select the appropriate treatment method(s) and frequency to get them well and back to their lives.
Dr. Yost’s knowledge and skill set has given him some extraordinary opportunities. These
opportunities include treating players at Cincinnati Bengals Training Camp, attending USATF Indoor championships
as a personal physician and being a team official for USA Track & Field at World Indoor Championships in
Doha, Qatar. While in Doha, Dr. Yost provided Active Release Techniques to some of the best athletes in the world.

Dr. Yost also has contracts through Active Release Techniques Corporate Solutions.
